Debie Thomas earned her MA in English Literature from Brown University and an MFA in Creative Writing from The Ohio State University.  Her essays have appeared in the Kenyon Review, River Teeth: A Journal of Nonfiction Narrative, and Slate Magazine.  She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
